Felting
Felting is considered the oldest textile technique in the world. Felt is a fabric that is formed when strands of wool are hooking with each other – there is no warp or weave in this fabric.
The felt has every positive quality of wool – it is flexible, easily formable, protects us from cold and warmth. Moreover, the felted items are also beautiful and practical.
During the course, you get a short introduction to the history of felting as well as its techniques. Out of the most well-known techniques (wet felting, nuno felting and needle felting), we concentrate mainly on wet and needle felting.

Beautiful and original felted jewellery, colorful felted soaps, slippers, bags, mittens, sauna hats, toy animals for children or just keepsakes for close ones.

All materials are provided by us. Felted items can be ornamented by different techniques and materials. Additional finishing (steaming, forming, and sewing) can be done on the spot, in the studio or at home – according to your own wish.
The items made during the course, are perfect to give away as original and valuable gifts.
Prior experience for participation in the course is not necessary. All tools and materials are provided by us. Welcome!

During the period of 10th of February 2010 until 31st of January 2011 the Start-up and Development Grant of Enterprise Estonia helped OÜ Rakvere Loovuskeskus to implement marketing activities and create the webpage. The project is co-financed by European Social Fund.
